As a continuation of Project Yemen 2012, the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DGAP) promoted a 5 months Training Programme on Conservation and Archaeological Restoration for the benefit of six specialists of the General Organization for Antiquities and Museums (GOAM), from Ṣan‘āʾ, Haḍramawt, Aden and Shabwa. After having completed classes in Italian Language at the Dante Alighieri School in Rome, the participants attended a training course on techniques for restoration and conservation at the Istituto Superiore per la Conservazione e il Restauro (ISCR) of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture, completed at the end of October 2013. Within the same project an application for iPhone, iPad and Android systems was created to access texts and images related to the Activity of the Italian Expedition, the Exhibition The Throne of the Queen of Sheba and the activity of ISCR during the Training Programme for Yemeni specialists.
